about loretta andrews
Loretta Andrews has spent over two decades working at the intersection of music, media, and artist development — and she’s still doing it, every day, from multiple angles.
She began her career as a professional session singer and signed artist before moving into broadcasting, spending 13 years at Premier Christian Radio as a producer, co-host, and solo presenter across the Breakfast, Drivetime, and Unsigned shows — reaching an audience of 1.3 million listeners. During that time she hosted her own live music events platform for unsigned artists, giving a stage to independent talent long before it was fashionable.
In 2015, Loretta founded Safe Music Management, channelling years of industry knowledge into artist representation and development. She currently manages three artists: poet, producer and rapper Joshua Luke Smith; British/Nigerian/Jamaican folk-soul singer-songwriter Bianca Rose; and triple MOBO award-winning rapper and author Guvna B.
In 2019, Loretta was selected for the Music Manager Forum’s Accelerator Programme in partnership with YouTube — one of the most respected development programmes for music managers in the UK. In 2021 she was chosen as one of 40 Black music professionals to take part in the PRS Foundation’s Power Up scheme, the first initiative of its kind.
Alongside her management work, Loretta has built a parallel career in music education. She joined ICMP London (the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) as a tutor in 2022, teaching Music Business, Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. She is now Programme Leader for the School of Music Creation, leading three degree programmes and a team of approximately 25 tutors. In 2025 she was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
In 2022, Loretta co-authored , published and available on Amazon — a reflection of her wider commitment to equity and representation.
She is currently completing a Master’s in Senior Strategic Leadership (Level 7), due for completion in 2027.
What drives everything Loretta does is simple:
…a belief that talented, hardworking independent artists deserve honest guidance, real industry knowledge, and someone in their corner who genuinely wants to see them succeed.
If that sounds like what you need, she’d love to hear from you.
